The Index of Indices

Welcome to the Index of Indices homepage. The goal of this service is to provide direct search capabilities of as many subjects through as many search engines as possible. Though primarily a ease-of-access utility, the Index of Indices also fulfills a second function of perhaps making you aware of some interesting search utilities that you did not know about. All of the search engines have just enough of a difference from the others to warrant occasional use of them all. A third benefit of this service is this: On most of the larger search engines the access time to their homepage is longer than satisfactory, and the Index of Indices often avoids this problem by submitting searches directly to the search server, avoiding the busier, and slower, front end server all-together. Combine these three functions with comments about the usefulness of the utility, and we feel the Index of Indices will fill a gap in available all-in-one Internet search utilities.
